Driver

Ports

Two asymmetrical large diameter ports with flares at both ends.  This reduces distortion and prevents port resonances and “chuffing”.

Frequency Response

The B2 is designed to have flat response with no electronic equalization.  Size matters and a small or sealed enclosure has poor low-end response without heavy EQ.   20 dB of boost at 16 Hz means that you are using 1% of your amplifier power midband.  The B2 uses all of its amp all of the time.  You get what you pay for with Bespoke™ Subwoofers.

Low frequency corner 16 Hz +/- 1 dB, -3 dB at 14.5 Hz.

Small to medium room effect (room gain) will extend this significantly lower.  If your listening room has an excess of room effect, we can add a highpass room effect filter at any corner frequency you request.

High frequency corner 4th order Linkwitz-Riley low pass filter.  The L-R alignment gives the optimal crossover with the main speakers with no “bump” or “dip” at the crossover point.

Power Amplifier

1200 watts base model with 2000 watt upgrade. Note that 2000 W is a 2.2 dB increase over 1200 W. This is reflected in the output performance below.

1 Meter equivalent measured on 2 Meter open field ground plane.  This is not isotropic free space equivalent, but actual hemispherical output.
